The International Short Story Competition on Mental Health is open to undergraduate students from all academic disciplines worldwide. This competition aims to raise awareness, encourage reflection, and promote open conversations about mental health through creative writing.
- Participants must be actively enrolled undergraduate students
- Open to students from all faculties and academic disciplines
- Open to international participants
- Each participant is allowed to submit one entry only

3. Submission Requirements
- The submitted work must be:
- Original and the participant’s own work
- Unpublished and not under consideration elsewhere
- Written in English or Indonesia
- Word count: 1,000 – 3,000 words
- Formatting requirements:
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: 12 pt
- Line spacing: 1.5
- File format: PDF (.pdf)
- File naming format:
FullName_University_Title.pdf
4. Ethical Considerations
- Participants must ensure that their work does not contain plagiarism, hate speech, discrimination, or offensive content
- Sensitive topics (e.g., trauma, self-harm, abuse) must be addressed responsibly, ethically, and with appropriate sensitivity
- Any violation of ethical standards will result in disqualification
5. Assessment Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of qualified judges based on the following criteria:
- Originality and Creativity (30%)
- Relevance to the Theme (25%)
- Depth of Insight and Emotional Engagement (25%)
- Technical Writing Quality (grammar, coherence, structure) (20%)
